Murray L. Harber

Murray is the Executive Director of the Mississippi Business Group on Health, a coalition of more than 70 Mississippi employers that seek continuous improvement in the quality and cost effectiveness of health and health care. He is a Board member and Fellow of the Employer-Provider Interface Council which is part of the Hospital Quality Foundation. Murray began his career serving as a strength and speed coach before moving into employer health management where he put in some of the early onsite clinics and wellness centers in the employer setting. During his career he has developed award winning employer health and wellness programs including at Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance Company (SFBLI), the University of Minnesota, Hennepin County, MN, Park Nicollet Health Services, and UAW Ford Motor Company. He is a columnist for the Mississippi Business Journal, HR Professionals Magazine, and is a national speaker on employer health and wellbeing, value-based benefit designs, and human performance. Murray has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education majoring in Human Performance and Sports Studies from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.

Christopher L. Morgan, FACHE, MBA

Chris Morgan serves as the Director of the Mississippi Business Group on Health.  In his role, he facilitates educational and sharing forums and creates resources to aid employers as they focus on health and health care issues.  He also works with and encourages hospitals, physicians and employers to work together to create the incentives needed to promote change in healthcare.  Chris managed healthcare systems for 26 years and has served in an array of executive administrative positions.  He is Board Certified in Healthcare Management and is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. 

Marbury Jacobs, MS, MPH

Marbury currently serves as the Communications Manager for the Mississippi Business Group on Health.  This past summer, she led MSBGH and Mississippi State Department of Health efforts to assess, analyze and promote healthy food programs and policies at private and public workplaces throughout the state.  Marbury recently moved to Mississippi after graduating from Tufts University in December with a M.P.H in Health Services Management and Policy and a M.S. in Agriculture, Food and the Environment.

Alex Oliver

Alex is a graduate student at the University of Mississippi within the Health Promotion program. Prior to attending UM, he received a Bachelor's of Science degree with a double major in Exercise Science and Sports Management from Southwest Minnesota State University. He currently serves as an intern for the Mississippi Business Group on Health.
